Cristovão Tezza

Cristovão Tezza was born in Lages, in the southern Brazilian state of Santa Catarina, in 1952. He is the author of 13 novels, published in 7 languages, and the winner of many literary prizes, including the Jabuti Prize, the Portugal-Telecom Award, the São Paulo Literature Award, Petrobrás Literature Award, Brazilian Academy of Letters, São Paulo Art Critics' Association Award, the Zaffari & Bourbon Prize, Bravo, France's Charles Brisset Award, and a nomination for the 2012 IMPAC-Dublin Award. Brief Space Between Color and Shade was the winner of the 1998 Brazilian National Library's Machado de Assis Award.
