Audrie Bidwell

Audrie grew up in Singapore and Australia, and moved to the States when she married her husband. She did not know anyone and needed a hobby, so she started a blog. Then she bought a sewing machine and decided to teach herself to quilt. Little did she know, she would find her passion, and many wonderful friends in the online quilting community.

Her quilts have varied styles, but Audrie is mostly drawn to bright colours and clean lines. She loves traditional quilts, and putting her spin on them to make them fresh and new again. Audrie believes there should not be any rules in quilting -- it should be fun and free of any pre-conceived notion of what a quilt 'should' be.

She lives in Connecticut with her husband (he has also authored a book, but of a very different nature (http://www.amazon.com/Ratification-Constitution-Thirteen-States-Graduate/dp/1934048119/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1365741788&sr=1-1) and their two cats.
