J. A. Busick

J.A. Busick writes about faith, family, disability, work, and the peculiar business of being human.

Under her own name, Jennifer Busick has spent more than two decades writing about occupational safety and health, which has given her a professional interest in the ways people work, the ways workplaces fail them, and the occasionally surprising things people will do when nobody is looking. She has also spent a considerable amount of time being a mother, a wife, a writer, a reader, and a person who asks entirely too many questions.

As J.A. Busick, she writes Bible studies, memoir, essays, and fiction rooted in the lives and questions of ordinary people. Her books include *The God Who Sees*, *Cora Means Heart*, *Dear Grammas*, the *Flyover Country* series, and contributions to several anthologies.

Her Bible studies tend to begin with a familiar story and then ask, “Wait. What if we looked at this from over here?” Her memoir and personal writing do much the same thing with real life. She is particularly interested in the people and perspectives that tend to get overlooked when everyone else is busy telling the obvious version of the story.

Jennifer lives in North Carolina with her family and a perpetually unreasonable number of books. She continues to write because she is curious, because she has things to say, and because apparently having one career was not enough
