I live in rural Hampshire, England. The end of my garden is a Saxon forest boundary - the edge of the ancient Harewood Forest. Just nearby is the monument that stimulated the writing of my very first book - The Dunstan Chronicles. A couple of miles away is the site of King Alfred's Hunting Lodge / Palace that is featured especially in Warrior Queen.

The amazing Stonehenge is only a short drive away.

I used to teach biological sciences up to university level, and being a keen wildlife observer and researcher, so you'll end up learning plenty about the wildlife of the Saxon lands.

Now retired, I do plenty of travelling, including chunks of the USA, Sub-Saharan Africa and elsewhere.

The writing often occurs towards the end of the year with the vital research taking three months before that.

The last book in the Saxons! series is 1066, Death of a Nation is a dramatization of the final months of that era. Unfortunately. Duke William of Normandy won at the (so called) Battle of Hastings.

The Saxons! series is: Viking Invasion; Warrior Queen; Dunstan Chronicles and 1066.

Stonehenge People overlaps in time with the final book currently written: The Pharaoh's Lover looks at the amazing Pharaoh Hatshepsut of around 1500BC and her relationships with her husband and lover.

I seem to be drawn to powerful women!

My latest book: The Baby Farm is nearly ready for publication. Date expected is: December 2017.

My aim is to write great stories that leave you with a better understanding of the world. You can not take the teacher out of me!

Good or bad, feedback is appreciated.
