Randall H. Morse

I worked as a research scientist at the Wadsworth Center, New York State Department of Health, studying transcriptional regulation and chromatin in the model organism budding yeast from 1993 until my retirement in 2022. I received a B.A. in chemistry and mathematics from Kalamazoo College and PhD in chemistry from Caltech, and did postdoctoral research at Columbia University and the National Institutes of Health before joining the Wadsworth Center. While at the Wadsworth Center, I also held a faculty appointment in the Department of Biomedical Sciences in the School of Public Health at the University at Albany, and am now Emeritus Professor. Outside of science, my interests include tennis, hiking, travel, and literature.
