Shane Portman is an Emmy-nominated writer based in Los Angeles. He is also the head of development at Bix Pix Entertainment where his credits include writer/script supervisor for Amazon's Emmy/Annie/Annecy Award-winning Tumble Leaf and writer/co-creator of Moonlight Storytime for HMH Publishing's Curious World app (and an official selection of the 2016 Annecy International Animation Festival). He has also written for Nick Jr's Kinderwood.
He started writing Allister Cromley's Fairweather Belle as a blog in 2002 and, in 2008, began crafting the stories into live storytelling experiences with directors, actors and musicians in New York City. In 2012, the first set of 12 stories were published in a book that featured illustrations by 12 independent artists. And an additional 14 stories were spun into a podcast where each story was musically scored by a different guest musician.
