Kathryn Kramer

Kathryn Kramer makes her home in Boulder, Colorado in the United States. She also writes under the pseudonyms--Katherine Vickery and Kathryn Hockett. Together with her mother, Marcia Vickery Hockett, she has written over 42 historical romance novels which have been translated into German, Portuguese, Italian, Dutch, Turkish, Romanian, Japanese and Hebrew. They have won the Romantic Times Reviewer's Choice Award several years in a row.

A current project of formatting all 42 books into the ebook format has been completed. Since many of the originals were typed, this involved completely redoing many of the manuscripts into the computer format. To date all novels are available on Amazon in ebook format as well as printed. Under Gypsy Skies (Kramer) and Flame of Desire (Vickery) won the Romantic Times Reviewer's Choice awards and are the latest addition to the books now available on Amazon in ebook format.

Kathryn and Marcia are of English and Scottish heritage (Vickery/MacQuarie) and have often used family history as part of their stories which are set in England and Scotland: Flame Across the Highlands, Flame of Desire, Desire of the Heart (Vickery); Indigo Sea, Highland Destiny (Hockett); Desire's Deception, Highland Bride, Midsummer Night's Desire, Desire's Masquerade, Lady Rogue (Kramer).

Music has always been a part of Kathy's life. She studied opera at the University of Colorado, sang with a jazz band and devoted her time to music via theater, teaching and singing professionally. She and her mother are also dancers--ballet, tap and Spanish dancing. Her favorite theatrical role was Maria in West Side Story. She and her mother began writing in 1985. When her mother, Marcia, died in 2003, Kathy did not write for several years but has now continued writing and is currently working on three new novels. Highland Ghost was written this year.
