Dara Feldman is a passionate educator, author and speaker whose life-long goal is to transform our schools and the systems that support them into environments that embrace the love of learning with the recognition of self-worth. She is Director of Education and Chair of the Board for the Virtues Project International Association, where she creates and delivers personal, professional and organizational development, inspiring INDIVIDUALS to live more authentic, joyful lives, FAMILIES to raise children of compassion and integrity, EDUCATORS to create safe, caring and high performing learning communities & LEADERS to inspire excellence and ethics in the workplace. She is also Director of Education for The “V” Channel, a social media channel designed to engage and inspire young people to reach for a higher level of personal development. In 2005, Dara was honored as Disney’s Outstanding Elementary Teacher of the Year and in 2009 the National Association for Self Esteem’s Teacher of the Year. An Apple Distinguished Educator, Dara was nominated by Steve Jobs to win the ComputerWorld Smithsonian Award in Education and Academia in 2000. Dara is the author of The Heart of Education: Bringing Joy, Meaning and Purpose Back to Teaching and Learning. She is married and has 2 grown children.
