Kent Krause writes content for online high school courses and social studies textbooks. He grew up in Des Moines, Iowa, and studied history at Iowa State University (B.A. and M.A.) and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (Ph.D.). In addition to his 11 books, Kent has published articles in Great Plains Quarterly and The International Journal of the History of Sport. The Society for American Baseball Research selected his book Wahoo Sam Crawford: The King of Sluggers as a finalist for the 2022 Larry Ritter Award. Kent lives in Nebraska with his wife Jill.
