Ian Ford

Ian Ford has interests in several branches of statistical physics, in particular the study of nucleation phenomena and kinetic processes in general. He has degrees in Theoretical Physics from Cambridge and Oxford Universities and worked for a period at the Harwell Laboratory of the UK Atomic Energy Authority before moving to UCL in 1996. His main scientific contributions have been in aerosol physics, but more recently he has worked on biophysical applications of theories of liquid and polymers, and on entropy generation in nonequilibrium processes.
