Ryan E. Long

Ryan is a tech / media / design attorney and a non-residential fellow of Stanford Law School’s Center for Internet and Society. His writings or interviews about tech subjects like “fake news,” artificial intelligence created “deep fakes,” and facial recognition technology have appeared in TechCrunch, the London School of Economics Business Review, and Cognitive Times. He obtained his BA in philosophy, with honors, from the University of Chicago and his JD, cum laude, from Tulane Law School.

He has written a series of satirical crime thrillers sprinkled with unlikely romance. The first book was a top three new hot comedy release on Amazon. The series tells the story of a fictional silent syndicate of crime families. In mysterious and often humorous ways, they, among other things, stealthy run California’s Underground Railroad in the 1800s and gain intel from Nazi SS in Paris during WWII.
