Though I have striven to push creativity’s envelope, find veins of vulnerability, and offer frank analysis, anything I write flows from a deep passion for the Church and the advancement of the gospel. My recent book, Game of Pulpits may be the biggest creative writing challenge I have been given by God. Yet, I will always lean into my first two projects as foundational works. ReMission: Rethinking How Church Leaders Create Movement (Whitaker House, 2018), focuses on restoring missional health and innovation within the body of Christ.

I'm perhaps best known as the author of Soul Whisperer: Why the Church Must Change the Way it Views Evangelism—a provocative, accessible guide to recovering the deep and powerful mission pattern of Christ. Beyond that, I wrote the Missional Engagement Series as both evangelism and discipleship vehicles to help churches equip their people for real mission and gospel movement.

While I serve as an adjunct professor of mission at Talbot Seminary, my primary calling is leading Soul Whisperer Ministry in providing training and resources to Christian churches and ministries. My experience spans being the Outreach Director at Sandals Church (Riverside, CA), planting and coaching church plants, and training international mission teams.

Writing came to me in an unexpected season—during one of my darkest hours, God rerouted me into a doctoral program. There, away from life’s busyness alone with a keyboard and a cup of coffee, I discovered a path to deeper reflection and outlet for creative contribution. I learned to give voice to honesty—safe in the gospel and free to explore its radical implications.

One thing I’ve experienced: when we are serious about increasing the impact for the gospel, God's inspiration is unrelenting.
