Nick Tarant

Nick Tarant is a brand architect and e-commerce entrepreneur with marketing and communications experience across most major industry segments and messaging channels.

Nick began his career at DDB Worldwide Communications producing television, radio, print and online banner advertising. After stints at the J. Walter Thompson Company and Ogilvy & Mather, in order to better understand product development, trade and distribution channel marketing, he joined food specialty firm, Noble Communications, where he was eventually appointed vice president of marketing and brands across the enterprise. He later became General Manager of Caffeine Communications, a boutique public relations and event firm headquartered in Milwaukee, and director of account leadership with the Chicago and Dallas presence of shopper marketing and retail specialist Saatchi & Saatchi X, For over 15 years, Nick has produced event, social media, print and broadcast platforms with the likes of McDonald's, Kraft Foods, Harley-Davidson, BP Amoco and Frito-Lay.

In 2007, Nick launched a leadership consultancy with Steve Wymer whom he met when they co-founded the American Student Government Association (ASGA), several years prior. A frequent keynote speaker and presenter at national conferences, Nick has authored three books and several articles on management theory and practice. In 2009 Tarant & Wymer Holdings also produced a six-part online training module specific to branding in leadership, with Madison-based Magna Publishers and brings their infamous "AntiConference" to select schools across the nation. In addition to entrepreneurial forays in higher-ed, Nick has been a guest lecturer at DePaul University's school of business and sits on select advisory boards for e-commerce start-ups in the Midwest.

In 2011, Nick was hired by digital technology leader, Dotomi Inc., which is led by former leaders of Catalina Marketing, CoolSavings Inc, Claria and Pepsico, and was founded by the creator of AOL Instant Messaging. Shortly after beginning there, Dotomi was acquired by the ValueClick Companies to form a publicly traded personalized media powerhouse. In 2014 ValueClick became Conversant and was acquired by Alliance Data Systems in a $2.3 billion dollar deal.

Nick is a graduate of Ithaca College's Park School of Communications, where he was RHA president, student body vice president and ultimately elected student body president by his peers.
