Over the past 20 years, Peter has led the development of regional and statewide programs for children with ASD and related disabilities that integrate research and treatment in health and in education. This includes a statewide public school program (as Statewide Director of the Delaware Autism Program), a university-based training program (as Director of Regional Programs for the Center for Autism Research at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia/University of Pennsylvania), an inpatient treatment program for children in behavioral crisis (as Director of Autism Services at Foundations Behavioral Health), and a statewide team for early identification (as Co-Leader of the Pennsylvania Act Early Team). He has presented and published internationally, and is a licensed psychologist. He now helps agencies to expand and improve programs through his consultation service, ASD Roadmap.

Peter is married, and lives outside of Philadelphia. He is father to three children, including a daughter with multiple and complex disabilities.
