Phil Garrett ,a graduate of the San Francisco Art Institute has been a painter and printmaker for over thirty years . His work is in numerous public and private collections in the USA , EU and Japan including the SC State Museum, Greenville County Museum and the State Collections of South Carolina and Hawaii. He has completed numerous artists’ residencies, taught painting and printmaking in professional venues in the US , including The Penland School . He joined the Golden Artist Colors Working Artist Program in 1999, and teaches and lectures about acrylic painting nationally and internationally. In October 2005, 2006 and 2007 he Lectured and taught workshops on Acrylic Painting Methods in Art Schools in the cities of Osaka, Tokyo ,Nagoya , Kyoto and Fukuoka Japan sponsored by Golden Acrylic and Turner company of Osaka . .
