John A. Sanger

I was born in Plymouth, England. My dad came from Bristol, he was a railwayman who also served as a nusing assistant on a hospital ship in WWII. My mum was very loving and also very musical, a piano or the BBC radio shows could always be heard . In 1977 I emigrated to Kiel, Germany where I work as a Palliative Care Nurse at the University Teaching Hospital. Whilst still living in England I started studying with the Open University,continueing my studies in Germany and attaining an Honours Degree in Applied Historical Social Sciences. I have, of course, read a lot of German history and it just flows now in my blood, which is why, when I write fiction, I nearly always write about German history.
