Deanne Davis

Deanne Davis, a native Californian, is a former radio station co-owner and music director with husband, John (who is now a resident of heaven); a period they liked to refer to as "The Best of Times and The Worst of Times" (a shameless theft from Dickens' "Tale of Two Cities"). She's a parent, a grandparent, a great-grandparent and a constant reader/writer. She is addicted to Arizona sunrises and sunsets and is compelled morning and evening to take their pictures. God's magnificent work, different every day.

Deanne rarely goes anywhere without her Kindle and, speaking of Kindle books, she has conjured up a whole bunch of those, including a brand new Emma Gainsworth story, the fifth featuring this adventure-prone young woman. A new book, based on Deanne's very popular Kindle story, "The Crown" is really a response to the many requests for this story in book rather than Kindle form. "The Crown" speaks to what happened to that crown of thorns that tortured Jesus through his trial, crucifixion and death on the cross. So many have asked for a book version of this story that they could pass along to friends and family. We are delighted to have made this possible.

Deanne's encouraging book, "Sunrises and Sunflowers Speak Hope" is a collection of blogs written over a period of several years. Each page will make you smile, laugh, sometimes cry, and frequently find yourself nodding your head as you realize that's where you've been, too.

Deanne is the book writer and lyricist, with co-writer, David Wheatley, of three musicals, two with a spiritual undercurrent: "Hands!" The Musical, and "Star of Wonder" A Christmas Musical. Most recent work, successfully produced at the Hollywood Fringe Festival, is "Gallery", A contemporary musical where a young artist, a beautiful young woman, an unscrupulous art gallery owner and other intriguing folks love, leave, regret and return while Art provides a colorful background and a happy ending.
