Gabriel Parent

Gabriel Parent received his B. Eng. in computer engineering from Ecole Polytechnique of Montreal, where he worked on natural language processing and temporal semantics. He then spent the next two years at Carnegie Mellon University, completing a M. Sc. at the Language Technologies Institute under the supervision of Pr. Maxine Eskenazi. His research focused on human-computer interaction through spoken dialog systems and on crowdsourcing for speech processing. He is currently working at Amazon.com with the Search & Discovery organization, solving large-scale data mining problems using a combination of information extraction algorithms and crowdsourcing techniques.
