Hi readers;I'm going to say a little about myself. I started out writing what I call western poetry. My poems are about the way I relate to things in everyday life. Ive been writing for over 15 years and to this day I still cant just sit down and make up a poem. But when one comes to mind the words just flow and if I don't write them right then I forget them..I have spent a lifetime working with cattle and horses,from the racetrack to ranches,feedyards and livestock auctions. I have lived in Colorado,Kansas,Oklahoma and a short stay in Missouri, I announced rodeos for 35+years. I am currently writng a fiction novel and am also compiling a book with myself and others of Cowboy Poetry,short stories and western art from accross the United States and nine foreign countries. I was honored this past week to be awarded the 2013 2nd place Finalist for the Will Rogers Medallion Award in Cowboy Poetry..Thank You and happy reading..Denny
