Norma Hickox

I am a professional musician. I play and teach six instruments and compose music. I have been an organist and choir director for many different spiritual denominations and have also taught vocal music in private elementary and pre-schools. In the past I played in the pit orchestra for a musical theater group and also in a dance band, eventually having my own dance band. I have played numerous solo appearances, some on TV and also played a church service for the President of United States - President Ford.

I live with my son Neil, a computer scientist and his family, wife, Claudia; daughter, Fiorella; and son Leland in Simi Valley, California. Along with music, my career has also included involvement with the arts of painting, writing, dance and theater that led to my writing two musical plays with original music. "Boomtown USA" won 1st place in stage plays for the New York Screenwriting Contest in 2019 and "Magic Man" won the Park Avenue Award (third place) in stage plays for the New York Screenwriting Contest in 2018 and the Golden Cine Award in the Headline International Film Festival in 2016. "Boomtown USA" won an Award of Merit in the Headline International Film Festival in 2016.

When I began composing, the music and lyrics would flow into my head in complete form. A year later I began to receive information from a spiritual source that flowed in the same way as the music. This new material was the Chrysalis Teachings on which the New Millennium NoteBooks are based along with the Science of Music. The vibrations of music affecting my body since I was four years old are what allowed this opening to take place.
