John Ciliberti

John Ciliberti is an IT veteran with over 15 years experience in designing software systems and writing applications. John first started programming when he was in high school where he wrote programs that ran on MS DOS using Basic and Pascal.

In his college days John dove head first into learning Microsoft Visual Basic and C++.

In the mid-1990s after the release of the Netscape web browser John shifted his focus from client programming to the web. He began building his expertise in HTML, JavaScript, Perl, Cold Fusion and other early server side web applications framework.

John's first exposure to Microsoft's web technologies was in 1997 after he joined Career Engine, a .com start-up in New York city. At Career Engine John expanded his expertise to include SQL Server and Java programming. He eventually become the CTO in 2000.

After surviving the World Trade Center terrorist attacks in 2001, John left Career Engine to join Alliant Technologies. At Alliant John broadened his technology experience across both the Microsoft and Java development stacks. As a consultant he worked across many industries for fortune 500 clients that included Pfizer, Dow Jones, and Bristol Myers Squibb. During this time John also gained several Microsoft certifications including MCP, MCDBA, MCSD, and MCAD.

After five years in consulting, John left Alliant and joined the Enterprise Architecture team at KPMG.

John is currently employed as an Enterprise Architect at Express Scripts where he chairs it's .NET Competency Center and advises several of Express Scripts business units and subsidiaries on IT strategy.
