The written word was always how I expressed myself. Love, Anger, Disappointment... every emotion found it's way on paper. Therefore, it wasn't a surprise that storytelling soon filled the pages of my notebooks by the time I began high school. My experiences became the basis for my stories. Needless to say I went through a lot of notebooks by the time graduation rolled around.
In 2004, I began to take my writing seriously. I self-published my first book, TRUE LOVE TOO LATE: Finding Love at the Wrong Time in January 2005. I received great feedback and support which led to the follow up in 2006, NEVER TOO LATE FOR TRUE LOVE.
My writing has been compared to writers such as Zane, Eric Jerome Dickey and Mary B. Morrison by some of my readers (check out the reviews on Amazon).
In 2012 Club Ice my third release under Vanessa M Harley hit the streets and my fans were thrilled. I also had the pleasure of writing dialogue on a screenplay that was entered in the Sundance Film Festival.
In June 2013 I partnered with Philly author Tammy Capri and her company Nu Class Publications to deliver a very different story. Heroin Heartbreak is based on true events and it's one that all parents as well as teenagers should take the time to read. It will definitely leave you heart broken and your eyes open to the dangers lurking in the shadows.
Becoming a member of the Nu Class family was such a great experience that Tammy and I embarked on another project together. In August and September of 2013 I released my first E-Book Short Story Series titled Sibling Rivalry and Sibling Rivalry 2. May 2014 Broken Love was released, which is a revised version of the True Love Series. That was followed by the spin off from Sibling Rivarly titled London: After the Rivalry and London 2: Taking What's Mine. August 2016 Jealous and Crazy was released with new characters and the male perspective on love and obsession. In February 2018 I released the final book in thr London trilogy: London 3: Playing for Keeps. London was by far my favorite character to write. Be on the lookout for more of your favorite characters and a few new ones too!
In addition to writing I'm an avid reader, I love to watch movies (I'm a sucker for the romantic comedies) and spend time with my husband, son and granddaughters. In July 2018, I became a grandmom for a third time to a grandson I love very much. He’s taking up what used to be my writing time, but I’ll be back with something new for your bookshelves soon. In the meantime get caught up with all my girls: India, London, Ashley, Diamond, Jade & Marissa and Rayne.
Follow me and stay tuned for more great reads to come...
