David S. Platt

David S. Platt teaches User Experience Engineering at Harvard University Extension School and at companies all over the world. He's written 13 books, including Fixing Tech : Make It Just Work (Wiley, 2026) and Why Software Sucks (Addison-Wesley, 2006). Microsoft named him a Software Legend in 2002. When readers ask, "Did you really tape down two of your daughter's fingers so she'd learn how to count in octal?", he just smiles. He lives in Ipswich, Massachusetts.
