Alan Elliott

Alan C. Elliott is an award-winning author of over 25 books and numerous articles on history, innovation, ethics, and computing – as well as two picture books and a screenplay. His books have been translated into Chinese, Portuguese, Romanian, Italian, Hebrew, and other languages. He received a Masters in Applied Statistics from Southern Methodist University and an MBA from the University of Texas at Arlington. Alan served on the faculty at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center for 30 years as a biostatistician, primarily in medical research. He then became the Director of the Data Analytics Consulting Center at Southern Methodist University. In that position, he worked with organizations and companies to help make enterprise decisions, improve manufacturing processes, and forecast business trends. In addition, Alan has served on many academic, civic, and community boards, including ten years as the Executive Director of Baby Moses Dallas, a non-profit organization with a mission to prevent violence against infants. He also founded the Dallas Area Writers Group to encourage others to achieve their dream of being published.
