Connie Squiers

Connie Squiers was born in San Antonio, Texas, the oldest of three children. Her father was an Air Force pilot and they lived all over the world, including Japan, Germany, and France. She was married to an Air Force pilot and lived in Germany and the United Kingdom, as well as several places in the United States.

For years she followed her military spouse, but after divorcing in 1994 she attended Regent University School of Law in Virginia Beach. She then moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma to live near her sister, where she remains and still maintains a solo law practice.

Though her children were boys, she remembers the time she spent with her horse crazy girlfriends reading many books about horses. She has used those experiences, and those as a mother, to craft her stories.

Always a lover of horses, she decided she could write books that were about horses, were appealing to young people, and would incorporated the tenets of her faith. Her goal was to show youngsters and grown-ups alike that God could, and should, be an integral part of their lives. She has now published six books, "The Copper Colt", "Hannah's Chance", "Spirit's Legacy", "Choctaw", "Shady Springs Ranch" (her personal favorite), and "Shadow - Carlee's Morgan". She continues to write and her goal is to make youngsters aware that Jesus can be their best friend and comforter. Each book contains discussion questions at the end to foster conversation among readers. Her books are ideal for home schoolers and those who like to get together and discuss books they've read.
