I was born in a hospital in Wheeling, WV, but, lacking independent means, decided at an early age (a few days after birth) to live with my parents and siblings in Bellaire, OH. I remained in Eastern Ohio until I graduated from college, after which I joined the Navy to keep from getting drafted and going to Vietnam. My ship went to Vietnam. I worked for Ohio University as a course editor for over 30 years until my right brain rebelled and insisted that I publish my book of humorous fictional letters. My right brain is pleased.
On Nov. 1, 2010, I started a Mon.-Fri. photoblog (TheDailyGraff.com) where I posted one of my own photos with a humorous title and caption. By the time I ended the blog, I had made over 1,000 posts; had over 40,000 page hits; and had over 1,000 subscribers. Writing the book and creating the blog posts were the "funnest" things I've ever done.
