Bex Lewis

Dr Bex Lewis is Research Fellow in Social Media and Online Learning, and Director of The Big Bible Project for CODEC, St John's College, Durham University. She is passionate about helping people engage with the digital world in a positive way. She has a background as a social historian specialising in mass communications, writing the history for the Keep Calm and Carry On poster as part of her 2004 PhD ‘British Home Front Propaganda Posters of the Second World War’.

Bex has over 16 years of experience in the digital environment, having built her first website in 1997, and undertaken accessibility and usability projects. She is the Director of ‘Digital Fingerprint’ a social media consultancy, whose clients include the Church of England, URC, The Methodist Church, JISC and universities. Bex is a regular speaker at academic conferences, Christian events, on TV and the radio.
