Trevor D. Young

Trevor Young (aka “The PR Warrior”) is a seasoned public relations and communications strategist based in Melbourne, Australia. A former journalist with a long track record in traditional PR, he started exploring the new media landscape in 2007 when he established his long-running blog, PR Warrior: On the Frontline of the Communications Revolution.


Trevor has worked as a senior consultant with a number of global PR consultancies plus established and run his own agencies. More recently, he was Director of Strategy & Innovation for Edelman Australia.


Trevor’s PR Warrior blog has been listed by both Smart Company and Search Engine Journal (SEJ) as one of Australia’s top business blogs. He also produces and hosts Reputation Revolution, a personal branding podcast for business professionals, and is author of the book, microDOMINATION: How to Leverage Social Media and Content Marketing to Build a Mini-Business Empire Around Your Personal Brand, published by Wiley.


In 2015 and 2016, Brand Quarterly included Trevor on its annual ‘50 Marketing Thought Leaders Over 50′ list, while the Sydney Morning Herald has named him as one of eight ‘heroes of Australian content marketing’, and Smart Company listed him as one of 20 of Australia’s ‘Top Business Thinkers for 2018’.


Today, Trevor heads up Digital Citizen (www.digitalcitizen.group), a consulting, training and media business that helps brands gain a competitive edge in the marketplace through the use of digital storytelling and content-led communications.
