James Ó Ceallaigh (1961- ) has lived all his life in New Zealand, occasionally venturing out into the wider world of North America, Australia, The Pacific, Asia, on business or on holiday. He has worked in the field of information technology all his life. He lives by the sea with his wife and has two grown up children.
James has spent more than 30 years trying to understand life from the viewpoint of the Gnostic, Sufi and Mahayana Buddhist traditions.
He maintains that the only things he knows for sure are:
1. This is a big universe and none of us is very significant in it.
2. The best thing you can do is try to help others without wanting recognition.
3. If we want to be part of the solution rather than part of the problem, we need to see our weaknesses and struggle against them. We need to learn to think more clearly, to remain steady and compassionate under fire, and to develop our physical skills and common sense.
