Thomas (Tom) Zimmer is a christian and the the lay chaplain of the United Clubs of Austin (UCOA) an informal organization that seeks to foster communications, respect, fellowship and participation between the nearly 100 traditional motorcycle clubs in the greater Austin Texas area. Tom is privileged to provide prayer support and encouragement to this dedicated group of bikers at a monthly meeting that includes his presentation of a short message called "a moment with the chaplain". Tom also attends many of the club activities and event with his wife Debbie as the informal UCOA photographer. These events with a brief description and supporting photographs are then posted on his blog at; http://tomzimmer.wordpress.com Tom joined the Christian Motorcyclists Association (CMA) in 1997. CMA seeks to minister to the motorcycling community through word and action. CMA has provided volunteer registration workers, hospitality tents and Sunday services to the Republic of Texas (ROT) Rally in Austin for more than 10 years. Tom participates and advocates the christian abiding life, where we are called to simply be a tool of Christ while he works out His plan through each of us, as we experience the joy of seeing Him work. This lifestyle is described most concisely in the Bible in John 15:5 "I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing." Tom's book Moments encourages this life style.
