Caroline Ball

Caroline Ball is a keen gardener, author of Heritage Apples, which she excitedly reports has won the 2020 Garden Media Guild's Peter Seabrook Practical Book of the Year.

As an editor, copywriter and occasional translator, she has contributed to books and magazines on many subjects, from a study of William Morris to travel guides to a history of London water fountains.

Caroline has a particular interest in garden history and the plant-hunters, both men and women, who have made our gardens and countryside the rich and diverse habitats they are today. Her forthcoming book, A Cornucopia of Fruit and Vegetables: Illustrations from a Botanical Treasury, will be published by Bodleian Library Publishing in May.
