I have 38 years as a family historian, genealogist, and archivist. My focus is Black American though I don`t overlook any tree in the human forest. In 2007, I earned a certificate of completion from the National Institute on Genealogical Research in Washington, D.C. I worked as an enumerator for the U. S. Federal Census during two enumeration periods. This Amherst County Virginia Index to the 1850 and 1860 slave schedules is the first published index of Amherst slaveowners of its kind.
