Orit Gidali

Orit Gidali is an Israeli poet and picture-book author. Her work has earned her the Dvora Omer Prize for picture-book writing, as well as a Fulbright Scholarship. She has published 11 critically acclaimed picture books that have been translated into more than 10 languages (Nona the Mind Reader, Bravo, and others) and 4 poetry collections. Her Hebrew-English bilingua​l edition of collected poems (Twenty Girls to Envy Me, translated and introduced by Dr. Marcela Sulak, University of Texas Press, 2016) was longlisted for the PEN America Award for Translation in 2017. She is the co-founder of the 'Sadnaot Habait' creative writing school and lives in Rehovot, Israel.
