From early childhood on, I worked hard just to get food and water - times were extremely hard in Zhengzhou, China. When I was 5 years old, my mother had to leave my three sisters and me in order to survive. Though it seems like a terrible beginning, we all lived through it and gained great life experience. The will of providence brought me to work as a servant in the house of the great master, Sifu Qian Bo-Wan. His Kung Fu school became my home and shelter. At the age of 8, my passion for martial arts was recognized and I began learning personally from the great Bo-Wan.

I was trained in various methods: Wing Chun, Shao Lin Guan, Tai Chi Guan, Xing Xi Guam. I studied Chi Kung with my master and Buddhist monks. Just before my Sifu left this world, he told me: "Xi (his name for me), you have to go and spread this knowledge. You can do much more then I ever could, you will see." I felt humbled and obligated to carry out his wishes.

After finishing my studies of traditional Chinese medicine with Dr. Le Cai, I moved to the Western world. I have to admit, I never understood what my Sifu meant by 'you can do much more'. He did not say 'better', but more. I spent the last 30 years in teaching martial arts, Chi Kung, and related disciplines, but just recently I understood why he used the term 'much more'.

It was not because of anything in me. It is because of the Internet and modern technology that I really am able to fully fulfill his instructions.
