If your mother served cattail pancakes, tomato bread, and weeds from the yard on the regular, you just might grow up to become an experimental cook. Gail Herndon Huskins found an audience for her non-traditional cooking classes at The Huntington Library and Botanical Gardens in San Marino, California. Those classes became the basis for this four-part cookbook series that features seasonal herbs. She also co-wrote The Spa Less Travelled about the best places for ethnic massage in Los Angeles. Gail is also a musician, having produced two CDs of original acoustic piano music. For now, she lives and creates in Northern Virginia with her husband. Follow her on Instagram @Gail_Herndon_Huskins
