Mike Hiler attended art schools at the University of Missouri, Kansas City Art Institute, and the University of GTO (San Miguel MEXICO) before receiving his degree in art at San Francisco State University. Mike has worked as a fire lookout and as a Wilderness Ranger in the Goat Rocks, William O. Douglas and Norse Peak Wilderness. He has hiked extensively in the Wilderness and along the Pacific Crest Trail in the Washington Cascades, and has Climbed Mt. Rainer, Old Snowy, Gilbert Peak, Mt. Aix, McNeil Peak and Ironstone Mt, Desolation Peak and a few others.
