Matthew Knoester

Matthew Knoester (pronounced "canoe-stir") is a Professor and Chair of the Educational Studies department at Ripon College. A former teacher in the Boston Public Schools, he received his Ed.M. from Harvard University and Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. His work analyzes teaching practices and focuses on critical literacy, education for democracy, equity and anti-racism, bilingualism, and assessment. Learn more at matthewknoester.com
