Denry Machin

A teacher at heart and by trade, Denry has taught and worked in international schools, UK independent boarding schools, and in the UK state sector.

Formerly Head of Upper School at Harrow Bangkok, Denry is currently Associate Director (Special Projects) for the Harrow International schools group, with responsibility for new school projects across Asia .

Additionally, Denry has been an Associate Lecturer with Keele University delivering on their MBA (Education), MA and PGCEi programmes and now works with Warwick University on their PGCE (International). His PhD focussed on International Schooling.

He is also Governor of a small not-for-profit international school in Malaysia and has academic work published in the Journal of Research in International Education.

Oh...and Denry, before you ask, is short for Edward Henry - though Denry Machin is simply christened Denry. The name was inspired by Arnold Bennett's The Card, a book read by his father whilst still at school - English literature has a lot to answer for, Denry has been explaining his name since learning to speak.
