After 15 years and three editions of the most widely used oral board study guide in ophthalmology, he built a real-time AI examiner that listens, probes your reasoning, and scores you on the ABO rubric, 149 oral board cases with Ai coaching and premium voice interaction.
Dr. Pemberton completed a residency in ophthalmology at West Virginia University and a fellowship in oculoplastics at Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary. He is certified by the ABO, a fellow of ASOPRS, and NASAOS.
Dr. Pemberton has been in the military since 1989 and began his military career as a combat medic, which naturally segued into a career in medicine. In 2002, after completing his internship at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, he was assigned as a flight surgeon to the 1st Cavalry Division, 7th Cavalry Regiment at Ft Hood, Texas, a famous U.S. Army unit with historic members such as Colonel Custer. He remained with this unit from 2002 through 2005, 13 months of which included a tour in Iraq. He received the Bronze Star and Combat Medical Badge.
