Author Stan Morse was a teenager in the late 60’s and early 70’s. Had it not been for a snow skiing accident at age 17 which left him a paraplegic and in a wheelchair, Stan might have been drafted and served in Vietnam.
Stan entered college six weeks after he left the hospital, continuing for the next seven years until he graduated from law school in 1979. Since then he has literally traveled the world, and written a book about one such solo journey of five months, Circling the Earth in a Wheelchair.
Now a lawyer, author and motivational speaker, living in central Washington, his new novel Brothers of Summer shares vivid memories of the summer of 1969 in a coming-of-age story about three boys who struggle to understand, and finally make, an unconditional commitment to friendship.
Stan's next novel Goering’s Gold will be available in the spring of 2014.
