David Ciccarelli

David Ciccarelli is the author of the middle grade book "The No Such Things," the picture book "Don't Eat That!" and the science fiction novel "Mesh: Book One." He started his career working in the film industry as a writer and an editor for movie trailers and commercials.

His science fiction script,"The Alpha Six," ranked first in the Triggerstreet Production screenplay contest and historical action "The Owl & the Hummingbird" was spotlighted on the Black List "Westerns" list. His award-winning screenplay, "Hospitality," was made into a short film. He has also been a quarterfinalist in the AMPAS Nicholl Fellowship, the Scriptapalooza Screenplay Competition, and the PAGE awards, as well as a semifinalist in the Austin Film Festival screenplay competition.

In addition to screenwriting, Mr. Ciccarelli has worked as a high school history teacher. He lives in Massachusetts with his wife, two sons, and their dogs.
