Craig Fishbane was born in the right place at the right time. A lifelong resident of Brooklyn, he has utilized his borough's native traits--its blunt pragmatism, its streetwise tolerance, its unpretentious love of learning--to fuel his trinity of pursuits: teaching, traveling and troublemaking. He considers writing to be among the highest forms of troublemaking and has been nominated for a couple of Pushcart Prizes for his efforts. His work has been published in the New York Quarterly, Bartleby Snopes, Drunken Boat, the Boston Literary Magazine, Opium, Short Fast & Deadly, Prime Number, Referential, Night Train and The Nervous Breakdown, as well as the Flash Ficton Funny anthology.
"On the Proper Role of Desire" is his first collection of short fiction.
