David Hunter Jr.

Born in Washington DC and raised in Northern Virginia, David Hunter Jr. has had a love for acting and movies since his childhood.

He attended Hampton University in Hampton, Virginia and received his B.A in Theatre Arts Performance. While at Hampton, David was no stranger to the stage, performing in the Shakesperean plays, "The Taming of the Shrew" and "Lysistrata" and starring as "Booth/3-Card" in the Pulitzer Prize winning play Topdog/Underdog" written by Suzi Loren Parks.

Upon graduating from Hampton, David stayed active in the DC area as an Actor. He joined an Improv Troupe and began performing at the Washington DC Improv Theatre and many other festivals in DC. In 2008, David received the award for Best Voice Over from the Northern VA Theatre Association for his role as "Dennis" in the one-act stageplay "The Art of Self-Defense". The follwing year, David won Best Supporting Actor for his role in the hit stageplay, "A Change is Gonna Come", performed at the historic Lincoln Theatre.

Since re-locating to Los Angeles, David has been seen and heard on several in film, television, stage and web projects. In 2013, David became a member of the renowned Towne Street Theatre Company in the midst of their 20th Year Anniversary. His voice has also been used for many Animaton projects. As a spoken word artist, David can be found performing at various venues in LA and will have his first book of poems published in the year 2013. The book is entitled "PEN IN MY HAND".
