David M. Sutera

David Sutera is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Communication Studies at Bridgewater State University. He teaches classes in film production and media studies including Introduction to Film, Film and Video Production, Screenwriting, and Visual Life of Popular Culture. Dr. Sutera is a published author with five books to his credit. The most recent is titled The 100 Greatest Superhero Films and TV Shows due out in the Spring of 2022. He is also a filmmaker with several award-winning short films to his name. Dr. Sutera's main area of research centers on sports culture and sports media with an emphasis on the use of social media by sports fans along with an in-depth study of American sports films that focus on the representation of the business side of sports.
