For more than two decades, Adam Dawson has helped hundreds of people simplify their life and enhance their peace of mind through sound financial guidance and a disciplined approach to investing. He loves teaching how to maximize gains and minimize losses because he learned the pains of not having enough money as a child in a broken home. Adam is the author of Chasing Chances: How Smart People Lose Money Investing and Timeless Principles of Financial Security. He is also the CEO of Capstone Capital Wealth Advisors, an independent registered investment advisory firm based in Henderson, Nevada.
He regularly appears as a guest lecturer throughout the community and especially enjoys teaching children and teens financial literacy. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University and the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification, which requires rigorous training in every area of personal finance, including investment management, retirement planning, insurance planning, tax planning, and estate planning.
Adam lives in Henderson with his wife, Andrea, and their four children. He loves hiking, running, and cycling and has done one triathlon. He would do more if they let him swim with a life jacket. Adam is also an accomplished singer, pianist, and composer. Maybe that explains why he has never quite been able to dunk a basketball, even though he is 6’4” tall.
