Steve Boggan

Steve Boggan has been a journalist for more than 35 years, 12 of them as chief reporter at The Independent and, later, as feature writer with The Times, Guardian and Daily Mail. His journalism has also appeared in the Sunday Times Magazine, the Observer Magazine, Guardian Weekend Magazine and The Independent Saturday Magazine.

His books, Gold Fever: One Man's Adventures on the Trail of the Gold Rush, and Follow the Money: A Month in the Life of a Ten-dollar Bill, were each chosen as BBC Radio Books of the Week.

He is co-director of the movie Follow the Money, which was shortlisted for Best Documentary in the SoHo International Film Festival and was launched on Amazon Prime in November 2019. He was once named in Time Out's Culture 100 list of the most original and influential people in the creative and media industries.

Boggan has lectured in journalism at City, University of London, and Goldsmiths, University of London. He lives in east London with his wife, Suzanne.
