Born in New Orleans and raised in Brooklyn, Emily Stone is a diehard New Yorker who still doesn’t have a drivers license. Her books include: Did Jew Know? A Handy Primer on the Customs, Culture & Practice of the Chosen People (Chronicle Books); Visvamitrasana: Volume I of the Sage Series (Inflextion). She also co-wrote the short film Photo Op.
Emily has been awarded residencies by Yaddo, Blue Mountain Center and the Constance Saltonstall Foundation for the Arts. Standout gigs: head writer from 2007 to 2009 for both iVillage.com (The Daily Blabber) and Lifetime Broadband (Celebrity Buzz). From 1991 to 2014, she also taught Latin at Saint Ann's School in Brooklyn Heights.
Up next: completing her first young adult novel.
