Writing, reading and telling stories has always been part of my life. I suppose arriving in this world under the sign of Pisces makes me a natural-born dreamer and an lover of the arts. While I was always a good student in school, my teachers' comments on my report cards usually included phrases like, "He seems to be in a world of his own," "Daydreams a lot," Doesn't always pay attention or follow directions." All too true.

Well, I now write books drawing from all that daydreaming and try my best to tell stories I'd like to read; stories that transport me out of reality and put me somewhere exciting, moving, and just plain fun. I have to credit my parents with helping me along that artistic path. My dad always said that a smart person could do three things: Entertain himself or herself, entertain another person, and an idea. My mom told me that the more I cried, the less I'd pee. I'm sure there's a subtle moral there somewhere.

I write stories I seldom can find to read these days. There seem to be so few really captivating yarns out there considering that there are way more of them in circulation than ever in the history of literature. 500,000 new books are published every year and yet only a few fiction books pull me into their world and take me on the ride; that pleasurable passage of time we call entertainment. I write stories designed to move you from wherever you are to other places, places where the mind can dwell for hours in danger, peril, and suspense. I write...

My thriller, The Omega Formula, is receiving very positive reviews, but below I have added a review from a completely independent reviewing organization.

Frank Dugan is a cop. He is also the son of a cop. For that and many other reasons The Omega Formula reads like a great classic crime novel. But it’s a little more than that. It’s also a conspiracy novel with roots that go back to the Second World War because the man who Frank really regarded as a father was his grandfather, William, and William was a world class scientist. A scientist who worked on The Manhattan Project. Paul Sekulich has created a compelling thriller here with a believable secret and great characters who want to either find out what the secret is or bury it forever. I don’t want to give too much away but I will tell you this: the secret is bigger than the nuclear nightmare of the atomic bomb that came out of The Manhattan Project.

The Omega Formula starts with a murder and the suspense, action, and drama steadily reach higher and higher from there. There are a lot of policemen in The Omega Formula. Big city cops, small town policemen, and federal agents, but they are all realistic characters artfully portrayed. They have their good sides and bad sides, but most of all you come to care about them, especially the hero Frank. Paul Sekulich has a real talent for showing how a crime is committed and, more importantly, the step by step process and critical thinking that it takes to solve it. The Omega Formula is much better and more relevant than many thrillers.
