Stuart Carney

Professor Stuart Carney is Dean of Medical Education at King's College London and Deputy National Director of the UK Foundation Programme. Born in Durham, England, Stuart is a graduate of the University of Edinburgh Medical School and Harvard University School of Public Health. He trained as a psychiatrist in Oxford after testing his vocation with the Jesuits. For the last 10 years, Stuart has helped to improve the interface between medical school and postgraduate training, which has included the introduction of the Foundation Programme.
