Crystal Senter Brown

Crystal Senter-Brown is a 13-time bestselling author, poet, speaker, Certified Career and Life Design Coach, Gallup CliftonStrengths Coach, and host of the Passion, Purpose and Paychecks podcast. Her work lives at the intersection of storytelling, purpose, career development, and personal transformation, inspiring people to build lives that are both meaningful and fulfilling.

Raised in Morristown, Tennessee, Crystal grew up in a family where creativity was woven into everyday life. The daughter of a bass-playing Baptist preacher and a visual artist, she discovered her love for words early, performing her first original poem at just six years old. Since then, she has shared her work on stages across the country and appeared alongside renowned artists including Nikki Giovanni, Sonia Sanchez, Ruby Dee, MC Lyte, and Nona Hendryx.

Crystal is the author of 13 books spanning poetry, fiction, journals, children's literature, and personal growth. Her novel The Rhythm in Blue was adapted into an independent feature film, extending her storytelling beyond the page.

Beyond writing, Crystal has dedicated her career to helping others discover meaningful work and design lives aligned with their strengths and values. She is a Certified Career and Life Design Coach, Gallup CliftonStrengths Coach, and serves as Director of the Sullivan Career and Life Planning Center at Bay Path University while pursuing her Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership. Through coaching, speaking, and her podcast, she encourages people at every stage of life to pursue work with courage, clarity, and purpose.

Crystal has been featured in Essence, Redbook, and VIBE magazines and has appeared in productions including The Vagina Monologues and The Wiz. She lives in New England with her husband of nearly three decades and their beloved dog, Venus J. Brown, M.D.
